Lisa Maree at only twenty-two has started her own fashion label, "Jack and Jill Dezines".
Being a successful photographer of models, it's in my best interest to be in touch with what women are wearing.
I often look for props while shooting at the height of the industry I get to see the new stuff come in.
I've had the opportunity to be in contact with a lot of the importers and designers around Sydney at least. Most of them are a bunch of wankers.
But Lisa Maree is very much down to earth. I spent quite some time talking with her before, during and after our little shoot at Camden airport and her opinion about dress sense is quite refreshing.
I asked my wife to look at the Jack and Jill Dezines website and tell me what she thinks of the fashion. Her response was rather favourable so of course now I must spend my money at Jack & Jill Dezines. But it's affordable, tasteful and fashionable so at least we'll look good at the next BBQ.



Lisa's Story

My story…the shortened version… :

I am a 22 year old outgoing but extremely driven young lass. I started out in Photography, Graphic and Web design and followed through with a diploma in Small Business Management. It was a weird and wonderful but interesting road that I travelled, each project presenting itself to me as I gratefully snatched it up!

My modelling career has substantially spurred me on to this outcome as in being a part of the industry, I came to see and understand the workings of the whole fashion business, both the good and the bad.

I now design and import clothing, shoes and accessories aimed at young to middle aged women. I felt there was a lack of "sexy, unique and funky" fashion for my target market, and also myself, so I took on the role of filling that void and hence the launch of Jack and Jill Dezines came about. I am slowly but solidly building the foundation of a very grounded and long-living business.
